Tropical Storm Rita

People are taking Rita much more seriously than Katrina. It is doubtful that it will be as damaging though. It could be a full blown hurricane in a day, and people are evacuating rapidly. There also appears to be more coverage than pre-Katrina. People have learned from ignoring the Katrina warning. Not only that, but some of the areas affected by Katrina could be hit again by Rita. People need to take the warning reports on natural disasters more seriously. It is terrible that people who stayed in their homes perished under the strength of Katrina. The media warned them, however. They could have gotten out. There is more ample warning this time. People need to take heed.
