Katrina coverage
I wonder how difficult it must be to report on Katrina down in New Orleans and the wrecked area. As a member of the media, one must remain neutral. The job is to report, not help. If I were reporting down there, I would be wanting to quit telling people about the damage and to start cleaning up and helping people. Maybe too much coverage is given to the hurricane. Maybe everyone in the country needs to stop what they're doing and help. Many media members are reporting that victims are upset that there was not a faster reponse. But the media needs to stay out of the news and simply report it. It is a major reponsibility to constantly inform the masses on what the situation is in the Gulf area and other news. Keeping yourself out of your reporting, especially at such a tragic event, has got to be a difficult task.
